We are on a mission to give you permission! Permission to take time to reset your system and find stillness, which seems lost today in such a busy, results-driven culture. Come along, surrender to self-care and soothe your soul. We love meeting new people!
Meet the Cosy Cunning FOlk
Hello, Iām Emmeline, mother of two, (three including the dog!) and founder of The Cosy Cunning Folk in 2018.
I am absolutely fascinated by the mind-body medicine and have spent 17 years on a journey towards this business. So much toxicity is normalised in our society and for many of us the lifestyle we are living is leading to sickness and disease. I gained a BSc Hons in Complementary Therapies in 2007, specialising in Aromatherapy and have been adding on modalities ever since including Reflexology and Indian Head Massage.
After personal trauma and a long period of panic attacks, I finally found myself healing on a profound level through meditation. I trained as a teacher in 2019 with The British School of Meditation, eager to share this incredible practice.
Since then I have completed training with The Museum of Happiness in London, qualifying as a Happiness Facilitator in 2021 ā yes, you can teach happiness! Based on science-based positive psychology techniques, these tools are weaved into my workshops like a golden thread. I am deeply passionate about showing people they can vastly improve their health and happiness baseline with a holistic approach. It can be daunting knowing where to start, we are always happy to offer guidance, please contact us with any questions big or small.
Hello, Iām Terence, husband to Emmeline and father of two (and dog obviously).
I joined The Cosy Cunning Folk in 2021 and love sharing this space as a family passion. My interest in yoga began in my mid twenties. Because intense exercise was part of my career, I began using poses as a way of warming up and down. I found a stillness in my mind during this time and decided I wanted more.
While I practiced what I could sporadically, I didn't have the confidence to enter a yoga class until 5 years ago. It was then that I learned yoga wasn't about being the most flexible person in the room - there was no competition. I realised how yoga was very personal; it was considering and honouring what your body and soul need from that particular practice. After that I really committed to daily yoga, it was my meditation (which Emmeline had been hassling me to do for years!) and I found my close family and friends noticed a change in me. I found a connection to my deeper consciousness and began living a much fuller, healthier, happier life.
I trained as a 200-hour instructor with Yoga Alliance Professionals in 2021 as I wanted to share my love of yoga and its many benefits. Yoga is for everybody; we all have different bodies and each pose can be adapted. While I have found a spirituality in yoga, the changes in mindset through this practice affect us all. Gymnastics and ego are left at the door, as I guide you with pure authenticity in this ancient practice
